About The Position

As a Sr Advanced FPGA/Firmware Engineer for the Torpedo Systems Group, you will work with engineering teams to develop, deliver, and maintain software and firmware products. Additionally, you will be the government customer onsite and frontline engineering representative as needed and when new products are delivered to help with installation, troubleshooting issues, and assist in corrective actions across several development programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Expert knowledge of Software Source Control tools and concepts (Git preferred)
  • Proven experience with hardware troubleshooting using tools such as DMM, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Function Generators, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to establish strong relationships
  • Provides resolution to ایسی problems to a diverse range of complex problems which require the use of ingenuity and creativity

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design, verification and documentation for FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) developments
  • Participates in architecture, system simulation and detailed design approach
  • Defines module interfaces and all aspects of device design and simulation
  • Evaluates the process flow including but not limited to high level design, synthesis, place and route, timing and power utilization
  • Verifies test results and analyzes performance
  • Develops and presents requirements, concepts, designs, decisions and results to internal management, other organizations, teammates and customer
  • Participates in the improvement of the FPGA organizational processes
  • Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
  • Working in a Linux environment
  • Writing in C and Multithreaded programming
  • Working with Real Time Operating Systems
