About The Position

As an ECAD Librarian and PCB Designer for Undersea Systems, you’ll support CCA development for electronics used in high reliability undersea communication systems. This role involves working with Mentor Graphics Xpedition and other ECAD tools, managing libraries, and ensuring designs meet manufacturing standards. You will also communicate with suppliers and create necessary documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, plus 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 6 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience using Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
  • Experience with library management practices.
  • Experience with ECAD/PCB layout design processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of one or more PCB design tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM, Xpedition. DXdatabook, BoardStation, Hyperlynx), or Altium.
  • Experience with library management practices including Xpedition parts request system, Footprint Expert Enterprise 23, 3D model creation using Solidworks NX or CREO, and Hyperlynx.
  • Circuit design and hands on prototyping experience.
  • Basic knowledge of IPC and manufacturing standards.
  • In depth knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques.
  • Experience with schematic capture in Xpedition is valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Support CCA development for electronics used in high reliability undersea communication systems.
  • Manage ECAD libraries and perform PCB layout design.
  • Utilize Mentor Graphics Xpedition and other ECAD tools.
  • Communicate with suppliers to clarify design documentation.
  • Create documentation including bill of material parts lists, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, and 3D model generation.
