About The Position

Pavion is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to support its security business unit. Pavion provides fire, security, and communication integration solutions, including fire alarm systems, critical communications, video surveillance, access control, and audiovisual technologies. The role supports the company’s accelerated month-end close initiative and leads general accounting matters in coordination with Financial Planning & Analysis. It also oversees close activities, reviews financial information and accounting entries, and supports external audits and integration-related system and process improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
10+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience.
Experience managing a team and/or directing activities of others in a project capacity.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree in accounting or a related discipline.
Experience with various ERP systems.
Strong internal controls experience.

Responsibilities

Support the Company’s accelerated month-end close initiative.
Lead general accounting matters in coordination with the Financial Planning & Analysis counterpart.
Manage the month-end close process and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy.
Oversee the review and approval of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Mentor and develop staff.
Coordinate, compile, and review requests for interim reviews and year-end external audits.
Support the Integration team with system efficiencies and process improvements in Business Central (ERP) and other supporting software.
Adapt to ambiguity and change and act as a change agent.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Drive process improvements and efficiencies.
Use advanced Excel skills for data analysis and summarize and present information to support resolution.
