About The Position

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records and reporting. This position is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, including month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • The Senior Accountant applies strong analytical skills daily to interpret complex financial data and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel enables efficient management of large datasets and automation of routine tasks.
  • Communication skills are essential for collaborating with internal teams and external auditors, facilitating clear and effective information exchange.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations ensures compliance and supports the preparation of accurate financial statements and tax filings.
  • Additionally, problem-solving abilities help identify discrepancies and implement process improvements that enhance overall financial operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
