About The Position

This role is responsible for various accounting functions, including preparing financial reports, managing the month-end close process, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. The position involves collaboration with other departments, implementing internal controls, and contributing to process improvements. The accountant will also handle special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
At least 5 years of related experience.
Knowledge and thorough understanding of US GAAP.
Expertise with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, lookup formulas, etc.
MRP/ERP experience
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare Customer dashboards on a weekly basis for internal and external purposes
Monitor project activities to identify areas of weakness and suggest measures to improve
Effectively and efficiently complete the month-end close process, including account analysis and reconciliation as well as recording journal entries.
Ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP.
Participate in departmental meetings to gain insight into current and future projects and phases
Collaborate with various departments to analyze and resolve problems
Generate accurate, complete and timely reports at the request of management.
Support, enforce, and help implementation internal controls, process improvements and operational efficiencies identified by Corporate Controller and Assistant Corporate Controller.
Approach work and tasks with increasing analytical perspective to determine if results and amounts are reasonable and supported by other data.
Special projects as assigned.
