About The Position

Miller Electric, an ITW company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their in-house accounting team in Appleton, WI. This role involves preparing, interpreting, and communicating financial information to drive business results. The Senior Accountant will be a core leader within the accounting team, ensuring financial integrity, upholding ITW principles, and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3-5 years of broad accounting experience.
• ERP and Financial Reporting software experience required.
• Advanced MS Excel skill is required.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing process effectively and efficiently.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, maintain/reconcile ledger accounts, update and report out on department budgets.
• Manage fixed assets within the division.
• Be analytical, inquisitive, and precise in explanations.
• Demonstrate a strong ability to understand macro and micro trends to quickly discern inaccuracies.
• In future, maintain/process payroll records.
• Help other employees understand how their decisions will impact financial results.
• Identify, communicate, and train others on key business drivers.
• Apply sound judgment to analyze processes, identifying, and acting upon opportunities to reduce complexity and simplify processes.
• Perform related work as apparent or assigned.
