The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting activities supporting Par Health’s manufacturing operations. This role plays a key part in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and internal controls, partnering closely with plant and corporate finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial results.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university with emphasis in Accounting.
  • 3 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Thorough working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to interact positively with employees at all levels of the organization regarding accounting and finance.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office applications, with Copilot experience preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, JDE, BPCS or other AS400 systems preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for general accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory transactions, invoice management, and other normal financial close activities.
  • Execute and support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting analyses.
  • Ensure the manufacturing facilities are compliant with GAAP and company financial policies/procedures.
  • Assist with requests to support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance to ensure internal controls are functioning properly.
  • Prepare and review various government reports.
  • Provide support for external/internal audit requests as required.
  • Plan and guide activities in support of capital investments and fixed asset counts.
  • Research and resolve accounting issues and provide recommendations.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and provide information as required to support ad-hoc reporting for corporate and plant finance teams.
  • Participate in corporate and site meetings and activities as required.
