About The Position

Osmose is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role is a key individual contributor responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting across the organization. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in month-end and year-end close activities, general ledger reconciliations, fixed assets accounting, internal reporting, and audit support, while partnering closely with team members across multiple subsidiaries. This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and is committed to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
  • Experience supporting general ledger accounting and close functions.
  • Prior experience with fixed assets accounting and depreciation processes required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience with accounting ERP systems required.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred.
  • Exposure to multi-subsidiary or multi-entity environments is a plus.
  • experience using fixed asset modules preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Manage fixed assets accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers, and impairment analysis in accordance with GAAP.
  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger, ensuring alignment with the general ledger.
  • Support periodic physical inventory and fixed asset audits, including preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Support close activities across multiple subsidiaries, ensuring consistency and adherence to accounting policies.
  • Prepare schedules, workpapers, and analysis used for internal reporting and external audits.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and auditors to respond to audit requests and inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies, including those related to fixed assets.
  • Prepare, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed to support business initiatives.
