About The Position

Strong financial reporting and disciplined accounting practices are essential to every successful organization. As a Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting at Centrus Energy, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial records and ensuring compliance in a dynamic, highly regulated environment. You’ll serve as a trusted accounting professional who helps translate complex transactions into accurate financial results while supporting the processes, controls, and reporting that drive sound business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • CPA certification or progress toward certification.
  • Experience working in a publicly traded or regulated industry environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle Fusion Cloud.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries.
  • Perform complex account reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial results.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
  • Help strengthen internal controls and SOX compliance efforts.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting issues.
  • Support external and internal audit activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial reporting schedules and disclosures.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiencies, and support the continued evolution of accounting practices across the organization.
