CIRCOR Aerospace & Defense is focused on the design, development, and manufacture of specialty fluid and motion control products for demanding aerospace and defense applications. POSITION DETAILS Principal Activities • Acts as the liaison between both external customers and associated departments within the Hauppauge, NY facility. • Reviews POs for accuracy, terms and conditions, delivery requirements, etc • Supports the preparation of commercial proposals/quotes and government bids, including engineering requirements, purchasing terms and conditions, and quality systems requirements. • Completes data entry of sales orders, whose information is used by all departments, and effectively communicates special requirements and/or processes to the appropriate departments. • Prepares correspondence regarding quotes, orders, and information relating to sales and engineering decisions. • Consults and coordinates with all departments regarding customer issues, potential business, delivery issues, and pricing. • Regularly communicates with POC of assigned customer accounts to strengthen relationships and address any customer concerns, as well as to get forecasting requirements for existing legacy programs. • Manages customer portals for customer-assigned accounts if required. • Participates in meetings within the sales group to relay forecasting of orders for programs of assigned accounts, as well as SIOP meetings with Operations. • Supports Sr. Business Development Managers with the administration of new business development activities and associated bookings. • Coordinates contract reviews with contract owners througha site-based software application REQUIRED SKILLS • Proven track record of success in sales support working with key OEMs and/or Tier 2 customers within the aerospace & defense markets • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple sales opportunities • Must have strong writing, planning, and organizational skills • Ability to communicate effectively both with internal and external customers • Must be a team player and have effective communication, interpersonal,l and team building skills, and be able to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment • Knowledge and experience of export compliance (ITAR/EAR); industry-specific requirements/standards • Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applicable tools • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities • Demonstrated ability to influence others and impact change • Participative management style – advocates team concept • Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with people of diverse backgrounds, experience, and personalities. • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive – but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities. • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Inside Sales/Marketing preferred • 10 plus years of progressive inside sales, customer service, and/or contracts admin in aerospace, defense, or related market space • US Person
