BioMarin's Commercial organization supports global sales and marketing efforts. This position requires performance-driven individuals with strategic problem-solving skills and high business acumen, capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have sales experience in pediatric endocrinology clinics, genetics, and/or comparable experience in rare diseases. Experience launching a first-in-class therapy and building new therapeutic markets is desired. The Account Manager must maintain a high level of knowledge regarding disease states and product labeling. The primary call targets are pediatric endocrinology, pediatric orthopedics, and genetics, in both institutional and office-based settings. Targeted pediatricians with ACH patients will also be key call points for funnel development. Activities include disease state and product education to referring HCPs, office readiness for patient therapy initiation, and coordination among multiple departments/stakeholders and BioMarin's field-based clinical support team. Required skills include account management, organization, analysis, and problem-solving. Individuals must be flexible and adaptable, with sensitivity to the potential constraints of a commercial start-up. They must be goal-oriented and accountable for individual performance, acting professionally and compliantly. Cold calling on all targeted specialties is a requirement.
