About The Position

This position supports the Maintenance Manager in all tasks and responsibilities, focusing on proactive maintenance through the implementation of an aggressive preventative maintenance program. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and operating electrical equipment and components throughout the plant, as well as designing, building, and installing power systems and equipment control systems. The technician will provide support to other technicians and production personnel, gather and analyze data for equipment improvement upgrades, and program/modify PLC and HMI programs. Additionally, the role includes determining and maintaining spare parts, developing and training on PM troubleshooting and safety procedures, and generating monthly department performance reports. Participation in 24-hour on-call activities is required as needed. The technician must also monitor and enforce the Food Safety Program.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL AND PCL EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Excellent attendance
  • Minimum 7 years previous experience in a manufacturing maintenance department
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and operate electrical equipment and components throughout the plant
  • Design, build and install power systems and equipment control systems
  • Provide support to technicians and production personnel to troubleshoot and repair equipment problems
  • Gather and analyze data to support equipment improvement upgrades
  • Program and modify PLC programs
  • Program and modify HMI programs
  • Determine, setup and maintain spare parts
  • Develop, train, and conduct PM troubleshooting and safety procedures
  • Gather and analyze data to generate monthly department performance reports
  • Participate in 24 hour on-call activities as needed
  • Monitors and enforces Food Safety Program
  • Identify and correct, in a timely manner, electrical problems in all areas of the plant including production equipment, material handling equipment, etc.
  • Provide timely preventative maintenance support coordinating with production personnel.
  • Maintain/complete all necessary forms, files and paperwork associated with the PM and work order programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring that budgets and operating expense requirements are met in accordance with objectives.
  • Responsible for good housekeeping in assigned and work areas
