About The Position

I'm currently partnering with a highly stable and well-funded enterprise organization that is making major investments in cloud, data security, and modernization initiatives. We're seeking an experienced Database Administrator who combines deep SQL Server expertise with hands-on Azure experience and a passion for securing and optimizing critical enterprise data environments. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative technology team where you'll play a key role in designing, securing, automating, and supporting business-critical database platforms.

Requirements

7+ years of SQL Server DBA experience
Strong Azure database administration experience
Experience supporting production environments at scale
Expertise with Always On Availability Groups and HA/DR solutions
Strong T-SQL performance tuning skills
Database security and governance experience
PowerShell automation experience

Nice To Haves

Azure DevOps, Terraform, or Infrastructure as Code experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Managing and optimizing SQL Server environments both on-prem and in Azure
Administering Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance
Supporting Always On Availability Groups and disaster recovery solutions
Driving performance tuning, query optimization, and database monitoring
Implementing security controls including encryption, RBAC, Azure AD integration, and governance standards
Automating DBA processes with PowerShell and Azure automation tools
Supporting cloud migration initiatives and modernization projects
Collaborating with development, infrastructure, and security teams
