About The Position

Responsible for developing and maintaining the application databases and software at Jupiter Medical Center. Essential functions are to strategize for future growth to ensure scalability. Design and deploy data table structures, forms, reports, and queries. Develop automated database applications. Identify inefficiencies in current databases. Troubleshoot database access and performance issues. Assist with development of firm’s internal applications, including .NET apps, intranet, etc. Responsible for evaluating database components, including hardware, relational database management systems, metadata management tools, and database design solutions. Provides exceptional customer service, and maintains open lines of communication with user departments, system analysts, technical experts, and software vendors. Manage multiple application, production, cloud integration, and non-production reporting servers Develop web pages and applications using ASP and SQL Develop and maintain HL7 messages using Cloverleaf and Mirth, and transform into SQL databases Manage database and server security Review execution plans for t-sql optimization by modifying tables, views, indexes and stored procedures Install service packs and cumulative updates Monitor disk space and plan for disaster recovery and backup testing Develop executive-level dashboards using FileMaker Set up and maintain vendor Interfaces Set up and maintain sFTP connections and write scripts to automate file transfers Develop and maintain organization-wide financial and clinical reports using SQL, Cerner DA2, and Crystal reporting tools Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school graduate, 2 years of College, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one year healthcare experience working in: Information Services, Finance, Decision Support, or some related department.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills required.
  • Computer Science degree, two or four year, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • SQL skills required.
  • Requires sitting for long periods of time, use of computer and other telecommunication devices.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, and be capable of critical thinking, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert and self-motivated.
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior financial, costing and productivity, revenue cycle experience a plus.
  • Experience with McKesson revenue cycle and financial systems, MS SQL Server, systems interfaces is a plus.
  • Cerner Discern Analytics 2.0 (DA2)
  • Experience with additional systems including Allscripts (PHS, STAR, HCI, HEMM, HEFM, PCA, EC2000), 3M HIS, Medicity, eClinicalWorks, Cerner CommunityWorks, Cerner Scheduling
  • Experience with additional applications and reporting formats including SQL Reporting (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), Visual Studio (2008-2017), MS SQL Server (2008-2016), Crystal
  • Experience with additional languages and data formats including T-SQL, PL-SQL, JSON, XML, C++, Python, JavaScript, HTML, PowerShell, FileMaker scripting, Mirth interface engine, Cloverleaf interface engine, HL7 interfaces, Oracle, DTS packages, API’s and Webhooks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Google Analytics, etc.), EnableSoft Foxtrot, STAR Forms and Menus
