About The Position

The SQL Developer will build and enhance data integrations, automated workflows, reporting solutions, and system connections supporting a Wealth & Asset Management organization. The role works across a diverse technology environment with business and technology teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable solutions, optimize data processes, improve operational efficiency, and support seamless data flow across platforms. The developer will work with modern data technologies, including cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, and contribute to the firm's data and cloud strategy. The role is based in Baltimore, Maryland, and requires at least 40% onsite work, with the remaining 60% remote.

Requirements

• Financial services or asset management industry exposure or experience.
• At least 5 years of application development experience.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with Agile Scrum boards.
• Ability to work in the Baltimore office at least 40% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or relevant equivalent experience.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Desire and ability to learn new skills and tools.
• Strong written and spoken interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues about technical and non-technical matters.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SQL-based applications, integrations, and data solutions.
• Build and support automated workflows, reporting tools, and file transmissions.
• Optimize existing data processes and application performance.
• Troubleshoot complex data and integration challenges.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence.
