About The Position

This role is for a Senior/Experienced SQL Server DBA responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, account control, log file review, back-up, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems throughout the organization.

Requirements

BA in Computer Science
10+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role
10+ years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
10+ years of experience with backups, restores and recovery models
10+ years of experience in High Availability (HA) and/or Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
10+ years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory
PC and network technology
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Other business applications utilized (purchased, SAS or Cloud based)
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Certifications in security a plus
Experience with MY SQL Server Administration experience a plus
Firewall Internet and Intranet a plus

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of SQL server databases
Configure and maintain database servers and processes
Monitor all SQL server and DB system's health and performance
Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
Provide suggestions for solutions
Support mission critical application
Installation and configuration of SQL server instances following Microsoft best practices
Support and implementation of new applications at different phases
Assist in managing SQL licensing status
Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change
