SQL Database Administrator (GIS)
About The Position
Join CACI in supporting US Special Operations Command and national defense as an expert SQL Database Administrator. This role calls for advanced database management and development skills, the ability to work independently in a fluid custom application development environment, and collaboration with a selective professional IT team supporting the operational planning cycle and mission success. The position supports a Department of Defense organization in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The selected candidate must be able to work onsite and must have an active TS/SCI clearance at the time of application. Travel may be required up to 10% within the Continental United States. The role is regular, full-time employment and is contingent on funding; it may not be filled immediately.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience performing complex analysis, design, development, and modification to improve the efficiency of Microsoft SQL and/or PostgreSQL databases in support of enterprise architecture.
- Proficiency in administering and deploying server equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain current certification at the appropriate level in accordance with DODD 8570.01.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree and three additional years of general experience in database administration, intelligence systems architecture, and geospatial systems experience.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) SQL Server certifications.
Responsibilities
- Manage database objects, constraints, replication, and storage structures.
- Apply expertise in SQL tuning and XML technologies.
- Use strong knowledge of database schema, data modeling, and architecture.
- Advise the software development team and support application teams.
- Analyze, design, build, test, and implement database solutions.
