About The Position

Responsible for overseeing the Azure SQL Power BI database to ensure that it runs both effectively and efficiently. As well as managing installation, configuration, and maintenance of all relational database instances across development, staging, and production environments.

Requirements

• Azure SQL Power BI database management
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of relational database instances
• Experience with SQL, SharePoint, and Excel data sources
• Ability to meet SLA goals for SQL configuration and maintenance
• Database design and tuning
• System performance baselining
• Monitoring for performance deviations
• Improving slow running queries

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Power BI Workspaces, Security, Content and Datasets for all areas of the organization using various data sources. (SQL, SharePoint, Excel and others)
• Confirm SQL configuration and maintenance meet SLA goals when designed and executed.
• Provide guidance and adjustments on database design, tuning options, and other possible issues.
• Completing such tasks as: Baseline system performance, monitoring for deviation, and recommend and implement improvements to slow running queries.
