Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical related field preferred. (Will accept Maintenance Experience or certification in lieu of this.)
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities or maintenance engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and building systems.
  • Experience managing capital projects and working with external contractors.
  • Proficiency in project documentation and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Decostar safety rules and maintain a safe and healthful workplace.
  • Consistently use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and promote safe work practices.
  • Promptly report accidents and unsafe conditions; participate in investigations as required.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA, NFPA, and EPA.
  • Lead capital projects to mitigate risk and maintain insurance compliance.
  • Provide facilities support to production departments including Molding, Paint, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Support utilities management, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Coordinate outsourced facility maintenance activities (HVAC, fire systems, groundskeeping, housekeeping, building repairs, HV electrical, etc.).
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams and new product launch initiatives.
  • Identify facility capital equipment needs and support competitive bid processes.
  • Manage capital expenditure projects including documentation, vendor selection, and investment justification.
  • Maintain accurate records for compliance audits and capital approval processes.
  • Ensure all project documentation meets corporate standards for approval and scanning.
  • Collaborate with accounting and purchasing to complete investment recaps, quote summaries, and asset disposition forms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
