About The Position
Sprinkler Installer Johnson Controls helps create smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings through fire protection and life safety solutions. In this role, you will support commercial and industrial customers by installing sprinkler systems that help protect people, property, and operations. You will join a field-focused team where safety, workmanship, and teamwork matter every day. As a Sprinkler Installer II, you will perform hands-on installation work on fire protection piping and sprinkler systems, complete your work accurately, and contribute to safe, professional project execution. Success in this role comes from solid trade skills, clear communication, and the ability to adapt to changing jobsite needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation and service of fire sprinkler systems.
- Self-starter who can work with little or no supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.
- Capability to perform physical labor.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Willingness to work alternative shifts or weekends as needed.
- Valid Driving License.
Responsibilities
- Perform the installation of fire protection piping, valves, and accessories for commercial and industrial applications.
- Install wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems efficiently and neatly.
- Maintain proper documentation for work performed and keep records accurate and current.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and perform all duties in a safe and professional manner.
- Provide verbal and written instructions to apprentices and support their development on the job.
- Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Perform physical labor and work in unusual or difficult positions, including ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout the project.
- Work alternative shifts or weekends when customer or job requirements call for it.
