Requirements

2+ years in CAD fire sprinkler design
Experience with HydraCAD, Hydracalc, or Hydralist
Understanding sprinkler systems and codes
Pass drug and background screenings
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications
Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of REVIT and X-REF’s
NICET level 2 or above in water-based systems

Responsibilities

Prepare project drawings, specifications and schematics required to support the installation of fire sprinkler systems
Verify project requirements and coordinate with the Project Managers and Sales to ensure project design is in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local codes
Layout sprinkler devices on basic designs
Understand NFPA codes
Interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional manner
Open willingness to continual learning
Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices
Follow all Koorsen policies, procedures and core values
Any other duties deemed appropriate by management
