Sprinkler Sales Executive

Encore Fire ProtectionMiddletown, CT
Hybrid

About The Position

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Protection Systems Estimator who is curious, confident, and has a natural ability to connect with people. This role involves guiding customers through the estimating and proposal process for fire alarm, fire sprinkler, special hazards, or integrated life safety systems. Prior fire protection experience is not required, but a willingness to learn, commitment to the work, and ability to drive toward results are essential. The position is ideal for someone competitive, detail-oriented, and resilient. It is a hybrid role, splitting time between field assessments and office-based estimating, requiring close collaboration with internal teams to build accurate proposals and communicate effectively with customers. While there is a technical learning curve, the growth opportunity is substantial.

Requirements

  • Formal sales experience that goes beyond retail or hospitality
  • A strong willingness to learn, especially within a technical environment
  • Proficiency with email, word processing, and spreadsheet software
  • A readiness to adopt and self-teach on systems such as CRM platforms, ticketing software, and industry-specific tools
  • A people-oriented approach that allows you to build trust and rapport
  • Strong organization, time management, and follow through
  • A competitive spirit and the resilience to keep moving when things get complex

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling a service is a plus
  • Experience estimating fire protection, life safety, or construction projects
  • Worked directly with general contractors, project managers, or field technicians and understand how projects move from bid to installation
  • Prior experience in a private equity-backed or fast-growing environment where speed, precision, and adaptability matter
  • A track record of building long term customer relationships and being viewed as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional salesperson
  • Experience using CRM platforms, estimating software, or industry-specific tools, and can pick up new systems quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple bids at once while keeping accuracy and professionalism high

Responsibilities

  • Meeting customers, conducting site surveys, and gathering accurate measurements and system information
  • Building estimates, proposals, and pre-engineering solutions for fire protection projects
  • Reviewing construction documents and coordinating with general contractors, owners, and internal technical teams to define project scope
  • Collaborating with project management, design, field operations, and fellow estimators to ensure proposals are accurate and aligned
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships through calls, emails, and in person meetings
  • Spending time in the field to understand system conditions, build rapport, and produce accurate pricing

Benefits

  • Competitive Salary
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Flexible Dress Code
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Participation in our Fidelity 401(k) plan with a company match
