About The Position

The Sprinkler Foreman Supervises and coordinates all activities of assigned craft workers. Responsible for making sure work is completed on time and within budget while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years’ verifiable Fire Sprinkler Fitter experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately determine job priorities by scheduling personnel and materials with Superintendent.
  • Work within local and state codes with precise limits or standards of accuracy.
  • OSHA 30 Certified
  • Must have a clean driving record, be able to pass a drug screen and pass a background check.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office Suite, file management, Internet).
  • Experience using an iPad.
  • Journeyman Fire Sprinkler License or equivalent training
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Foreman on Commercial Sites

  • Excellent communication skills required for both the customer as well as the team contact.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate field activities of assigned craft workers.
  • Enforce safety regulations.
  • Read Toolbox talks enthusiastically to all job site employees.
  • Establish and monitor job requirements to determine field labor, materials, tools and equipment requirements.
  • Training of new workers in the use of equipment and tools.
  • Conduct site specific safety orientation for employees/subcontractors.
  • Interpret completed systems to determine conformance to specifications.
  • Enforce company policies with workers and assure workers’ compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Establish and adjust work sequences for review with the Project Manager and Superintendents.
  • Maintain weekly labor performance reports for review with Project Manager/Superintendent.
  • Maintain timely completion of all paperwork: One-week and five-week look ahead schedules, timesheets, daily orders, tool requests and any delivery/packing slips.
  • Maintain jobsite security including locking up equipment, tools, gang box and doors/windows.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site appearance.
  • Assure all gang boxes and job containers are neat and orderly.
  • Assure tools are in good working order.
  • Maintain as-built sketches on project drawings.
  • Prepare final take-off of material.
  • Schedule any shutdowns and tie-ins to existing systems.
  • Build rapport and productive working relationships with customers, managers, supervisors and workers in order to influence decisions for purchasing scheduling, installations and work completion.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems.
  • Report progress, estimate deviations and customer complaints to immediate Project Manager.
  • Assume responsibility for delivery of all materials and equipment at the job site, including counting and verifying shipments and maintaining a log of back orders.
