About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter for various locations in Northern Alberta. This role involves a 7 days on / 7 days off shift schedule, with 12-hour workdays. Staff housing accommodations are provided. The position requires a certified Sprinkler Systems Installer Journeyman (Red Seal preferred) and involves a wide range of responsibilities related to the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, repair, sales, assembly, and installation of fire sprinkler systems and related components. Effective communication, adherence to safety guidelines, and teamwork are essential for this role.
Requirements
- Certified Sprinkler Systems Installer Journeyman (Red Seal preferred).
- Fire Hydrant inspection and testing Certification

Responsibilities
- Inspection of existing sprinkler systems and related components.
- Diagnose condition of existing sprinkler systems and related components.
- Perform preventative maintenance on existing fire sprinkler systems and related components.
- Recommend best-fit solutions for existing sprinkler systems and related components.
- Service and repair existing sprinkler systems and related components.
- Sales of new sprinkler systems and related components.
- Assembly and installation of new and replacement sprinkler systems and related components.
- Communication of inspections, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, sales, service / repair, and installation of sprinkler systems and related components.
- Documentation of inspections, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, sales, service / repair, and installation of sprinkler systems and related components.
- Follow safety guidelines, approved processes and procedures on the job site.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.
- Work cohesively with teams of employees or contractors.
- Communicate in a polite and courteous manner.
