Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice
About The Position
Ahern is seeking qualified applicants for the Sprinkler Fitter Apprenticeship program to work within the Rochester, MN area. This is a 5-year apprenticeship program working side-by-side with a journeymen sprinkler fitter installing automatic fire protection systems. Your employment relationship will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement. Apprentices will complete on-the-job training and 5 years of corresponding coursework toward becoming a journeyman sprinkler fitter. Upon completion of the apprenticeship program, a Journeyman earns over double the apprentice hourly rate!
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Clean driving record to operate company vehicles
- Pass an appropriate drug screen and physical
- Self-starters
- Strong mechanical background
- Good working and learning attitude
- Able to work in a fast-paced construction environment (both in and outdoors)
Responsibilities
- Install automatic fire protection systems
- Complete on-the-job training
- Complete 5 years of corresponding coursework toward becoming a journeyman sprinkler fitter
