About The Position

This position is responsible for reading and understanding the finishing schedule, setting up finishing equipment (pumps), and spraying fillers, glazes, and wash coats to a quality level using spray guns for air brushing. Additional tasks include loading the line by pulling material from Whitewood Storage to the conveyor in the assigned order, and occasionally screwing down tall cases and bed frames to pallets. The role requires adherence to plant safety rules, maintaining a clean work area, and a focus on quality in all duties.

Requirements

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling and twisting throughout the day.
Frequent repetitive motions requiring grasping, pushing/pulling and fine hand manipulation.
Frequently reaching at, above, or below shoulder level.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; rarely up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous finishing experience a plus but will train.

Responsibilities

Read and understand the finishing schedule.
Set up finishing equipment (pumps).
Spray fillers, glazes, and wash coat all at quality level.
Use of a spray gun to do air brushing.
Load the line by pulling material from Whitewood Storage area to conveyor and loading in assigned order.
Occasionally screw down tall cases and bed frames to pallets.
Observe plant safety rules.
Keep work area clean and be quality conscious in performing duties.
Follow the instructions of the work order for the finish that is required on the product.
Take the finish schedule and color panel and follow the process from start to finish.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
