As a Golf Course Spray Technician, you will be responsible for applying herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides to trees, shrubs, and lawns to maintain their health and appearance. Your role is vital in ensuring the outdoor areas remain beautiful and healthy, contributing to an exceptional golfing experience. This position involves filling the sprayer tank with water and chemicals according to a specified formula, adjusting the spraying radius based on job site characteristics, and potentially performing controlled burning.

  • Ability to pull the spray hose from a truck-mounted reel.
  • Ability to select the appropriate nozzle based on infestation type, wind direction, and terrain.
  • Ability to apply spray efficiently to weeds, trees, shrubs, and lawns.
  • Ability to manipulate levers to control a hydraulically powered, truck-mounted boom.
  • Ability to position spray wands to treat larger areas.
  • Ability to remove and dispose of infested bushes safely.
  • Ability to identify and destroy diseased trees.
  • Ability to follow proper procedures for disposal of diseased trees.
  • Strict adherence to safety regulations.

  • Spraying Application: Skillfully pull the spray hose from a truck-mounted reel, selecting the appropriate nozzle based on infestation type, wind direction, and terrain.
  • Accurate Coverage: Apply the spray efficiently to weeds, trees, shrubs, and lawns, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
  • Hydraulic Control: Manipulate levers to control a hydraulically powered, truck-mounted boom, positioning spray wands to treat larger areas with precision.
  • Infestation Management: Remove and dispose of infested bushes safely, preventing further spread of pests.
  • Disease Control: Identify and destroy diseased trees, following proper procedures for disposal to protect healthy vegetation.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety regulations, utilizing personal protective equipment and following safe handling practices for chemicals.
