About The Position
The Spray Technician II performs a wide variety of skilled work in the finishing of newly built cabinetry and the restoration of all types of furniture and furniture finishes. This role prepares and sprays all types of structures of various surfaces. The Spray Technician II interprets plans and makes estimates of repairs and/or refinishing costs. This position may train and provide work leadership to entry-level staff and drives from site to site. Performs skilled spray finishing and surface preparation for a variety of new and existing materials using specialized spray equipment and coatings. Prepares, repairs, stains, paints, and finishes surfaces. Provides support and assistance with general painting assignments throughout campus.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Four (4) years of spray technician experience
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire
- Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies.
- Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
- Final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and information obtained from social media and other internet sources.
