Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record as noted in a motor vehicle report.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related position is preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Must have good customer service skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Must be able to work with other departments and follow all food safety guidelines and HACCP requirements.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must be able to work weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must practice good personal hygiene.
  • Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.

Responsibilities

  • Operate yard truck or semi-tractor trailers to spot trailers as needed into the shipping dock area.
  • Ensure product is safely secured on trailer.
  • Checking vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crews and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
  • Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status following applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned
