About The Position

The Spotter I - PM Weekend Crew is responsible for performing daily inspections of trucks and trailers, ensuring proper fluid levels, checking for damages, and maintaining the neatness and orderliness of the yard. This role also involves operating forklifts, adhering to safety and environmental regulations, and accurately recording all trailer moves.

Requirements

Class A CDL (Basic) License
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical and mental ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week.
Must have good eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
Able to frequently lift and/or move more than 100 lbs.
Ability to operate forklifts.
Ability to work in variable (hot and cold) temperatures.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience in using R.F. (Radio Frequency) System
Basic Math and Reading skills

Responsibilities

Complete daily spotter inspection report prior to entering the truck.
Check and record all fluid levels and note any added amounts.
Complete daily yard check at the beginning of every shift.
Inspect trailers for any damages and report them to a supervisor immediately.
Check all fuel levels and temperatures on refrigerated trailers daily.
Ensure all deliveries are sealed or locked on the trailer and reject any trailers with no lock or seal.
Inspect all inbound empty trailers prior to accepting them.
Sweep out all trailers and ensure they are emptied into the dumpster.
Keep the yard (both empty and loaded) in a neat and orderly manner.
Ensure trailers are lined up with the pads and backed in with minimal to no gaps.
Place a chock under the wheel when a dock lock is not available when a trailer is backed in.
Enter all moves into yard view and note if it is down on the spotter moves form.
Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.'s) at all times.
Complies with all safety, health and environmental regulations as prescribed by law and Company policies.
Meets Company attendance standards of start and end times for work as scheduled.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with Company rules, regulations and policies.
