About The Position

The Spot Welder will be responsible for determining the number of welding points and contact cycles, regulating current, and setting automatic timing devices. This role involves rigging equipment for holding and positioning work, changing and dressing electrodes, and potentially working from drawings, specifications, samples, and templates. The Spot Welder will use a rule, square, and fixed gauges, and will receive instructions on procedures. Work is subject to process and final inspection. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to do basic math
• Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds
• Must be able to read blueprints
• Displays ethical behavior and acts with integrity
• Reliability
• Ability to train, communicate, and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Determine number of welding points and contact cycles.
• Regulate current and set automatic timing devices if used.
• Rig equipment for hold and positioning work.
