Requirements

  • High school level education or equivalent and specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job.
  • Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields.
  • Familiarity with welding tools and procedures.
  • Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to handle physical workload.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricates finished sheet metal products.
  • Installs and repairs various equipment and components.
  • Follows blueprints to meet product specifications.
  • Calculates material measurements to verify specifications.
  • Conducts tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.
  • Cleans the machines and surrounding areas at the end of the shift.
