About The Position

The Sports Supervisor at Thompson Middle School is responsible for overseeing students during home games and ensuring the smooth operation of game day logistics. This role reports to the Principal of TMS and the Superintendent of Schools, or their designee. The position is for the 2026-2027 school year, with specific dates from 11/30/2026 to 2/11/2027. The role is funded by a local sports supervisor stipend of $750.00.

Requirements

• Should have a work schedule which will enable him/her to meet the supervisory obligations without interference with his/her regular working schedule and will fit in with the sports program at the middle school.
• Experience supervising middle school students desired.
• Present employment at Thompson Middle School preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities listed below as evidenced by previous experience and the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Attends all home games.
• Supervises Thompson Middle School students who attend at home games.
• Ensures that designated doors are opened at assigned times.
• Collects entrance money during the games.
• Ensures that students behave in a manner according to school policy and obtains assistance from the Principal or Assistant Principal if needed.
• Performs any other duties stipulated by the Principal of Thompson Middle School.
