About The Position

Serve as the primary facilitator in booking rooms for our Sports market guests. This role involves conducting invoicing, contract drafting, and filing of financial documents, as well as signed contracts. The manager will also conduct site visits as necessary by client requests, communicate with Guest Experience to confirm smooth check-in processes, and comply with resort-wide goals for rooms booked and revenue attained. Regular check-ins with guests during the booking and contract signing process are expected, along with fielding client requests or complaints. The role requires efficiently transitioning clients to other team members for assistance with specific needs like meeting space or catering, and involves slight negotiation of terms over contracts or financial requirements with approval. The manager will represent the organization at trade shows, events, and networking opportunities, and collaborate with the Sevierville Convention Center or surrounding sports facilities when needed. Additionally, the role involves working with marketing to promote Sports offerings based on season, scouting potential business, and building relationships with local, regional, or national decision-makers within the market. A client-first mentality is required, along with performing all other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Tennessee Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to be covered by and maintain company insurance
  • Possess/Maintain adequate personal vehicle Insurance per company requirements

Responsibilities
