About The Position

The Quad-City Times/Dispatch-Argus in Davenport, Iowa, is seeking a versatile team member for its sports department. The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic writer to help us keep up with an area rich in top sports programs and come away with more than just a game story. The person must be excited to keep us ahead of the curve with our online components by embracing social media, including digital, photo and video components. The newsroom serves the Quad-Cities area with a population of 380,000. Davenport, located in Eastern Iowa, has an active downtown and numerous recreation opportunities. Lee Enterprises is a leading provider of local news and information and a major subscription and advertising platform, with daily and weekly newspapers and rapidly expanding digital products serving 114 markets across 25 states.
