About The Position

This is a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant position in an outpatient orthopedic setting in Hammond, IN, specifically located at Purdue Northwest University. The role involves providing sports physical therapy to NCAA Division II athletes, as well as traditional outpatient orthopedics. The clinic is situated on campus within the athletic training room. The company, RUSH Physical Therapy, focuses on delivering an exceptional patient experience to help patients return to their activities. The schedule is part-time, weekdays (Monday-Friday), including two evenings until 7:00 p.m., with a compensation of $26.00/hour. The company aims to create a schedule that balances coverage needs with the PTA's availability.

Requirements

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Outpatient orthopedic clinical rotation if a current student
• Outaptient orthopedic experience in the last 3 years if practicing clinician
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
