The Head Coach collaborates closely with head coaches and sports medicine personnel, manages injury rehabilitation protocols, and monitors student-athlete health, well-being, and nutritional needs. Responsibilities include developing evaluation tools, administering progress reports, monitoring summer conditioning programs, coordinating weight room usage, and conducting strength and conditioning camps. The role also involves equipment maintenance and recommendations, travel with teams as needed, and ensuring compliance with university, NCAA, and conference rules. Additionally, the position entails administrative and supervisory functions, including staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and guidance. The Head Coach is expected to participate in ongoing professional development, maintain comprehensive communication, and model professional standards and ethics.
