About The Position

KING TV is seeking an experienced Video Editor to create high-quality content for KING 5 Sports and the news department under challenging deadlines. This is an opportunity to join a nationally award-winning legacy station that offers professional development, mentorship, and a positive, growth-minded work environment. The position is full-time, hourly, and covered by SAG-AFTRA.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience video editing in a newsroom.
Knowledge of Edius.
Strong graphic creation skills.
Writing experience for linear and digital platforms.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

Edit packages, bold opens, mobile shorts, specials, and teases for linear, digital, and streaming platforms creatively and efficiently.
Edit high-impact sports specials featuring innovative, energetic graphics that showcase the station’s sports partners: the Seahawks, Kraken, and Mariners.
Operate non-linear editing systems.
Use strong organizational skills and co-produce content.
Provide a confident, risk-taking, creative vision.
Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
