About The Position
North Star Network (NSN) is seeking a Sports Media Localisation Editor - Spanish to join their media team. This role involves producing and localising content for the Predictions and Where to Watch categories, as well as updating existing articles. The primary goal is to deliver clear, accurate, and reliable information to readers, adhering to SEO best practices. The position will focus on localising content into Spanish-language markets such as Spain, Peru, Argentina, and Mexico, particularly during the 2026 World Cup. The role is temporary, running from June 9 to July 18, with potential for further opportunities based on performance. A fluent command of Spanish and a workable knowledge of English are essential. Familiarity with LATAM Spanish and other languages is considered a plus.
Requirements
- Native or fluent Spanish speaker.
- Good knowledge of sports and major international competitions.
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Ability to adapt content for different Spanish-speaking markets.
- Comfortable using AI tools and following SEO guidelines.
- Workable English for internal communication.
- Reliable, organised, and able to meet deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of LATAM Spanish and other languages is desirable.
- Experience in content writing, localisation, translation, or digital publishing is a plus.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress) is a plus.
- Knowledge of sports betting terminology is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Translating and localising content from one geo into Spanish language geos
- Generating and optimising articles through use of AI
- Meeting business requirements & requests, including inserting betting CTAs into articles
- Proof-reading and fact-checking before publication
- Publishing articles on websites’ CMS
- Meeting deadlines and maintaining good communication with POC
- Adhering to SEO best practices
- Documenting completed assignments in dedicated work rota
