About The Position

This is a Sports Marketing Internship focused on Community Engagement & Digital Media, designed as a college pipeline opportunity. It is ideal for college students seeking hands-on experience in Sports Marketing, Business, or Communications. D1 Training is a performance-based training facility focused on developing athletes and individuals of all ages, with a team-oriented environment blending elite-level coaching with a strong emphasis on culture, accountability, and results. This internship offers real-world, resume-building experience in sports marketing, community outreach, and brand growth, where interns play an active role in executing marketing initiatives that directly impact business performance. The role involves supporting community engagement efforts and building D1 Training’s digital presence, providing practical experience that students can confidently speak to in interviews and future career opportunities.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled college student (Marketing, Sports Management, Business, Communications, or related field preferred)
  • Strong interest in sports, fitness, and brand marketing
  • Comfortable engaging with people in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Content creation experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing local events, school partnerships, and grassroots marketing initiatives
  • Represent D1 Training at community events and activations
  • Help develop relationships with local schools, teams, and organizations
  • Capture and create photo/video content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
  • Assist in planning and scheduling content aligned with brand strategy
  • Contribute creative ideas to increase engagement, reach, and follower growth
  • Support in-gym promotions and campaigns designed to drive memberships
  • Assist in highlighting member success stories and facility culture
  • Track and report on basic marketing metrics (engagement, leads, event participation)
