Sports Instructor
About The Position
At The Little Gym, we're looking for an energetic, playful, and positive Part-time Sports Instructor to help us build strong, confident kids (2-10yr olds). This role involves leading fun, high-energy classes, helping children grow physically, mentally, and socially, and being the reason a child leaves class saying, "That was the BEST day ever!". The Little Gym is the world’s premier enrichment and physical development center for children ages 4 months through 12 years. Programs offer children a Springboard to Life’s Adventures by using movement-based learning and imaginative play to help build the confidence and skills needed at each stage of childhood. For over 40 years, our trained instructors have nurtured happy, confident kids through parent/child classes, gymnastics, dance and sports prep, plus enjoyable extras like camps, Parentsʼ Survival Nights and Awesome Birthday Bash parties. As a part of The Little Gym team, you will be part of a family dedicated to the growth and development of children all over the globe. We are looking for fun, outgoing, talented individuals who are looking to make a difference in their community.
Requirements
- Must be dependable, energetic and passionate about both sports & working with children.
- Must have a strong work ethic and consistent punctuality.
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Love working with kids (and can match their energy)
- Can follow a proven curriculum.
- Aren't afraid to be a little silly.
- Can lead a group, keep things organized, and "Bring the Hype"
- Have a background in sports, cheer or gymnastics.
Responsibilities
- Leading fun, high-energy classes (think obstacle courses, sports, gymnastic basics, games & lots of cheering)
- Helping kids grow physically, mentally and socially
- Being the reason a kid leaves class saying, "That was the BEST day ever!"
- Great customer service skills to assist with enrolling new customers, answering phone/email, parent communication and customer issues.
