About The Position

Jack Laurie Group is looking for a hardworking and dependable Sports Flooring Apprentice to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with 0–2 years of construction, flooring, or trade -related experience who wants to build a long -term career in the flooring industry. You'll work alongside experienced installers on commercial projects throughout Northeast Indiana, learning the skills needed to install a wide variety of flooring products including Hardwood flooring (basketball style floors), rubber flooring, and more.

Requirements

0–2 years of construction, flooring, or related trade experience preferred
Willingness to learn and develop a career in commercial flooring
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
Strong attention to detail and work quality
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation of commercial flooring materials including ardwood flooring (basketball style floors), rubber flooring, and more
Prepare job sites and flooring surfaces for installation
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
Learn proper installation techniques and industry best practices
Assist with floor preparation, layout, cutting, fitting, and finishing
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow company safety policies and job site requirements
Travel to project sites throughout Northeast Indiana as needed
Work closely with experienced installers to develop your trade skills
