About The Position
We have various dance programming available throughout the summer for kids age 3 through elementary school and beyond. This position is responsible for teaching fundamentals of dance, basic choreography, and fostering positive growth and enjoyment of dance. Additional responsibilities include class preparation and maintaining a safe environment.
Requirements
- Knowledge of dance skills
- Safety awareness
- Energetic and enjoy working with kids in a fun and fast-paced environment
- Sensitive to the needs of individuals
- Ability to build rapport with participants and parents
- Self-confidence
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to enforce good behavior, consistently and calmly
- Possess a spirit of positivity and exhibit the Y core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring
- CPR certification within 60 days of hire

- Personal experience in dance
