Locations: Allianz Field (games) in St. Paul, MN or National Sports Center in Blaine, MN (training)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or prerequisites equivalent to a 4 year degree for acceptance to Chiropractic University
  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree
  • Completion of Chiropractic program, accredited University
  • 3 plus years of experience
  • Licensed Doctor of Chiropractic - MN Board of Chiropractic Examiners required
  • Minnesota state License upon hire
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association OR Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross OR Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
  • Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a healthcare system setting
  • Specialized Certification incudes acupuncture, rehabilitation, sports medicine and others preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs intake assessments, physical examinations, skeletal adjustments to spine and extremities to relieve pain, uses massage and physical therapy modalities to reduce tension within athlete's muscles to help restore mobility.
  • Consults with athlete's and offers techniques and ideas for them to use to improve their physical health and comfort.
  • When indicated communicates additional care needs to the team's physicians.
  • Provides direct care
  • Provides specialized chiropractic care to athlete's to prevent, or to diagnose and treat, athletic injuries.
  • Performs intake assessments by listening to athlete's concerns and reviewing medical records.
  • Conducts extensive physical examinations, using chiropractic techniques to diagnose neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
  • Applies skeletal adjustments to the spine and extremities to relieve pain.
  • Uses massage therapy and physical therapy modalities and techniques to reduce muscle tension.
  • Orders Diagnostic Imaging when indicated, including X-ray, MRI and CT.
  • Collaborates with Interdisciplinary team
  • Uses communication skills to work with close-knit team.
  • Stays up to date on latest Chiropractic practices.
  • Shares knowledge with team to promote professional growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.
