About The Position

The Sports and Entertainment Bar Supervisor will support the Manager with the oversight of the casino resort Sports and Entertainment bar. This position is responsible for the oversight of all front-of-house operations. The Supervisor will assist with the entertainment calendar and bookings, service culture, training, menu print accuracy, and the beverage program for the Sports and Entertainment bar. They will be responsible for ensuring proper staffing levels and assisting the manager with the marketing of the restaurant. Daily, they will supervise the dining room and ensure timely service on a nightly basis, including proper rotations and plotting of the service team. They will work collectively with the Sports Bar Manager, Chef, and Assistant Director on all menu planning and development, and assist with all special events, group bookings, and reservations. Duties may be performed in all casino and resort outlets as designated by business demands. The supervisor will assist with all daily, weekly, and monthly training calendars. This role requires maintaining the highest level of service standards to provide the best dining experience and demonstrating and promoting the We-Ko-Pa-Way Service Culture.

Requirements

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and events needed by business demands.
  • Two years of Supervisory Experience in a high-volume, bar-focused restaurant or sports bar.
  • Extensive beer and liquor knowledge.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail.
  • 4 diamond resort or casino experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain a marketing and entertainment calendar.
  • Budgetary experience and ability to manage P&L statements, labor, cost of beverage sales, and menu costing.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Agilysis, and Stratton Warren or comparable inventory systems.
  • Knowledgeable of all health department standards.
  • Current Food Handlers Card.
  • Completion of Management Title IV training through Human Resources.
  • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and push or pull 100 pounds.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test.

  • Provide exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the Casino Resort We-Ko-Pa Way Service Standards: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you, and Goodbye.
  • Adhere to all standards outlined in the We-Ko-Pa Way Casino Resort service guide.
  • Support the Sommelier and Manager with the Sports Bar cocktail, beer, and wine list.
  • Ensure the accuracy of menus and product availability at all times.
  • Assist with the execution of all venue entertainment riders, load in and out of band equipment, and green room.
  • Work to ensure that all products are available and set up including bar prep work, bar mixers, garnishes, and applicable items.
  • Oversee guest satisfaction through nightly table visits in the bar and dining room.
  • Work diligently to create and maintain a regular clientele based on networking, grassroots marketing, social media efforts, and casino player development.
  • Train all bartenders, servers, bussers, and runners and always ensure consistency of service at the highest level.
  • Assist the Manager with orders and inventory of all spirits, beer, and wine.
  • Assist in maintaining a strong and thoughtful beer rotation of 24 tap handles.
  • Assist the Manager with all social media accounts, and review platforms such as YELP, TripAdvisor, etc.
  • Work with marketing and casino player development and hosts to ensure that top-tier casino players are met as a priority in the restaurant.
  • Work to assist with the creation of casino marketing events.
  • Provide “outside the box” thinking on how to work towards the goal of the best sports and entertainment venue in Arizona.
  • Address all food, beverage, or service-related guest issues and utilize creativity and resources available to maintain optimum satisfaction.
  • Work on the floor 90% of the time with a “hands-on” mentality for guest service.
  • Assist in banquet and catering events for the department including off-site events.
  • Oversee all beverage-related menus regularly in restaurants and through online resources to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Perform other related duties as required by the department.
