About The Position
Alvernia University is currently seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach Sport Psychology. This course examines psychological factors that influence sport and exercise participation and performance, including motivation, confidence, attention, stress, group dynamics, and the psychological aspects of injury and recovery. Students apply evidence-based concepts and strategies to support performance, well-being, and positive participation in sport and physical activity.
Requirements
- Minimum of a master's degree in Sport Psychology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Psychology, or a closely related field
- Graduate coursework or professional expertise in sport psychology
Nice To Haves
- Previous college-level teaching experience
- Experience applying sport psychology principles in athletic, exercise, or performance settings
