About The Position

Major League Baseball is seeking a Sponsorship Hospitality Coordinator to support both domestic and international sponsorship hospitality projects. Reporting directly to the Sponsorship Hospitality Senior Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of world-class events, ensuring seamless logistics and high-touch VIP hospitality for MLB’s corporate partners. In this role, you will assist in the planning and execution of marquee MLB events, including but not limited to: Jewel Events: All-Star Week, Field of Dreams Game, and the World Series International Games: Tokyo, Monterrey, Mexico City, and London Special Events & Meetings: Partner Summit, Spring Training Media Trip, ALL MLB Weekend & MLB Open, World Baseball Classic, and Club Meetings

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in hospitality planning, event logistics, meeting planning, and product tracking.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience with Cvent, Meeting Evolution, or similar event registration platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience negotiating hotel contracts/room blocks and coordinating with vendors.
  • A creative eye for wardrobe and premium gifting, combined with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
  • Must be a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, and work flexible hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays during major events).
  • An understanding, appreciation, and passion for the game of baseball.
  • Prior experience working within a professional sports league, franchise, or premier special events environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building, launching, and managing event registration websites tailored for sponsorship clients and partners.
  • Maintain hotel room blocks and assignments; accurately submit rooming lists, track change reports, and review no-show data.
  • Support function space setup, office logistics, A/V coordination, signage, and on-site hospitality execution.
  • Prepare, source, and submit catering and décor packages for ballpark suites and other premium hospitality venues.
  • Assist with ticket allocation and reconciliation, identify suite assignments, and act as the primary liaison for VIP transportation and ballpark hospitality needs.
  • Track event budgets, manage vendor coordination, and collaborate with MLB Legal on venue and agency agreements.
  • Work closely with the Global Events team on venue and hotel sourcing, selection, and contract coordination.
