About The Position

Manages and administers sponsored programs within assigned constituency with a minimum of direction; assumes responsibility for pre-award proposal preparation and submission (including electronic proposal submission) and post-award project administration; reviews and prepares proposal budgets and institutional assurances; negotiates terms and conditions for federal, state, and industry funded grants and contracts that support the position of the institution; continually monitors fiscal performance and status of required deliverable items; provides guidance to Principal Investigators (PIs) and administrative staff related to sponsor requirements; reviews and approves project expenses for appropriateness and compliance with University and sponsor rules and regulations; participates in, and may conduct, in-service training for PIs, department administrators and other staff; serves on organization-wide committees; may hire, train and supervise student administrative workers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent
  • 2 years Business experience in an administrative capacity
  • Customer service experience
  • Problem-solving experience

  • Knowledge of and experience using the Workday Grants Module strongly desired
  • Knowledge of and experience with federal or private agency sponsors
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
