About The Position

If you're a seasoned Splunk and .NET engineer looking for a role where your expertise directly supports modernization within criminal justice technology—this is your opportunity. Trissential is partnering with our client to bring in a Splunk‑savvy .NET Developer who enjoys teaching, solutioning, and collaborating with diverse technical teams. You’ll play a major role in transforming the BCA’s Archive Services application while elevating the team’s Splunk maturity. In this hybrid St. Paul role, you will: Train the Software Development team in Splunk fundamentals, dashboards, reporting, events, APIs, and enterprise concepts Partner with the development team to modernize the BCA’s Archive Services application using Splunk solutions Translate business requirements into technical designs aligned with architectural standards Build, deploy, and test .NET applications using CI/CD pipelines and automated tooling Implement enterprise‑grade solutions that follow BCA development and security patterns Provide technical direction to define cost‑effective solutions and architectural alternatives Review test plans with QA teams and execute unit/integration testing Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, accessible terms Develop strong partnerships with MNJIS, criminal justice partners, and technical teams Perform hands‑on knowledge transfer to ensure long-term sustainability

Requirements

  • About 8+ years of experience as a .NET Developer
  • 5+ years developing Splunk applications, dashboards, APIs, and logging solutions
  • Ability to train teams on Splunk and develop enterprise-ready solutions
  • 8+ years with ASP.NET MVC and C#
  • 5+ years unit testing experience (NUnit or JUnit)
  • Solid skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience using Entity Framework and writing T‑SQL for SQL Server
  • Prior experience in Agile Scrum teams
  • Experience developing Windows Services using .NET 4.0+
  • Experience with XML, XSLT, REST/SOAP, and Web API
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps automation (GitLab or GitHub CI/CD)
  • Familiarity with front‑end libraries like Bootstrap and jQuery
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design
  • Experience with law enforcement or criminal justice systems
  • Additional Splunk administration or architecture expertise
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise data modeling
  • Splunk certifications are a plus but not required
