About The Position

Eversource Energy is the largest Energy delivery company in New England, supporting 4.4 million Gas and Electric customers across CT, MA, and NH. This is a fully qualified splicer opening in Springfield, MA. The role involves performing any and all work in connection with the installation, operation, and maintenance of the underground and aerial cable systems. Bargaining unit employees under the WMECO Local 455 contract will be given first consideration. This position is being posted internally and externally. Emergency Response: Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment. This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.

Requirements

A high school diploma or the equivalent is required.
Successfully completed a progression program for Cable Splicers and be a Fully Qualified Splicer.
Possess a valid motor vehicle license.
Currently has and maintains a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Must live within 30 minutes of the reporting location for trouble call assignments.
Must successfully pass the CAST Test.
Must successfully pass a UG FQ assessment test.
Must participate and successfully pass the agility assessment.
Must successfully complete all requirements to be added to the APL for switching and tagging.
